Lip Blush in Abu Dhabi & Dubai

Lip Blush (also called lip tint or blushed lips) is a cosmetic tattoo where pigment is placed into the surface of the lips to enhance their natural colour, symmetry and contour. The technique is gentle — the goal is freshness and definition, not a tattooed look.

The treatment takes 2–2.5 hours, including consultation, anaesthetic and setting. We match the colour to your natural lip tone and draw the shape before we start. After setting, the lips are 40–50% darker than the final result for 5–7 days. They then lightly flake, and the final colour comes through over 4 weeks.

Lip Blush typically lasts 1–3 years, but lips lose pigment faster than brows due to more frequent exfoliation from eating, drinking and lip balm. A touch-up 6–8 weeks after the first session is recommended. A refresh every 12–18 months is advised to keep the colour fresh.

If you've had cold sores (herpes) before, prophylactic treatment with an antiviral cream (for example aciclovir) 3 days before and 3 days after the treatment is recommended, because cosmetic lip tattooing can trigger an outbreak. We give full guidance in the consultation.
